Description

The LR 7×30 Z 15×35 – Score perforated sheet metal Score an elongated and dynamic design: oblong openings measuring 7×30 mm, arranged in a staggered pattern with a pitch of 15 mm in the short direction and 35 mm in the long direction. In this perforation geometry, the open area is approximately 44%, which is high when it comes to combining high air flow, generous light transmission, and visual lightening of the envelope. The staggered arrangement (triangular arrangement) homogenizes the distribution of the openings and produces a pattern of soft shapes, while retaining the linear personality of the oblong motif. When installed horizontally, the design "stretches" the surface; when installed vertically, it accentuates the perception of height of the facade. The 7×30 mm oblong perforated hole creates a clean, contemporary graphic signature. This perforated pattern is suitable for cladding, parking garage ventilation, false ceilings, and filter partitions where ventilation and light are paramount, with the background still visible. Depending on the color, the effect varies from a sober look (dark tones) to a more striking expression. Perforated sheet metal with a Z 15×35 and a 7×30 mm perforated opening, the residual material bridges are approximately 8 mm in the short direction (15 – 7) and 5 mm in the long direction (35 – 30). In a staggered perforated sheet metal layout, the slanted reserve remains greater than 5 mm, but the 5 mm longitudinal ligature requires caution: • for 1.5 mm steel sheet metal, limit unframed formats to modest panels depending on exposure; • preferably orient the folds perpendicular to the long length of the oblongs to maximize stability; • Tighten the fastening pitch and increase the number of support points on the secondary framework to maintain flatness. This perforated sheet metal with 44% open area provides sustained ventilation and significant light transmission, with direct views still present. The 7×30 mm slits limit finger grip but allow elongated objects to pass through; in areas accessible to the public and young children, its use provides protection from the outside. When used as a ceiling, the combination of an acoustic veil and an absorbent material transforms the perforated sheet metal into a high-performance technical cladding. The price of 1.5 mm thick galvanized steel perforated sheet metal is generally between €54 and €95/m² for around 100 m² of supply.

Uses

The LR 7x30 Z 15x35 - Score perforated sheet metal Score as infill for guardrails, openwork steel fences, urban separation grilles, or cladding panels for ventilated facades. The oriented oblong holes create a directional effect that modulates the view depending on the angle of observation. They reduce visibility in one direction, providing a selective screening effect that is particularly suitable for balconies, terraces, and walkways. Urban architects find it a dynamic metal, capable of playing with light and bringing movement to a facade. Metalworkers see it as a stable, lightweight, and easy-to-use perforated sheet metal. Interior designers recognize it as a fluid, structured, and versatile material, an openwork grid that can be used to create open yet protected spaces. At close range, the precision of the metal dominates. From a distance, the sheet metal becomes light and vibration. These variations can be described with the words movement, breath, and balance. This type of perforation, both elongated and generous, is ideal for applications requiring high ventilation and good light diffusion while maintaining satisfactory mechanical rigidity.
