Description

Jocapel R20T35 perforated sheet metal Jocapel an airy yet measured visual signature: Ø 20 mm holes arranged in a staggered pattern with a constant pitch constant 35 mm. Standardized as Rv20-35, this perforation pattern provides approximately 25% open area, a relevant ratio when the objective is to ensure useful airflow, comfortable light transmission, and a noticeable lightening of the building envelope without tipping over into high transparency. The T-shaped arrangement of the triangular mesh ensures uniform distribution of the openings: the shadow pattern remains soft and non-directional; when viewed from a distance, the surface appears as a regular, soothing metallic veil. The 20 mm diameter perforations create a legible but discreet graphic pattern. Depending on the color applied, the effect varies from a muted finish (dark tones) to a more pronounced presence (light, metallic tones). The pattern is suitable for ventilated facades, technical space screens, HVAC unit covers, cladding, and parking lot coverings when a compromise between ventilation, light, and visual privacy is desired. For perforations with T = 35 mm and D = 20 mm, the material bridges in line reach approximately 15 mm (T – D). Diagonally across the triangular mesh, the minimum thickness reserve is approximately 10.3 mm (√3/2 · T – D ≈ 30.31 – 20). This generous remaining material translates into good rigidity and stability in service, subject to careful dimensioning: • with 2 mm steel, reasonably sized unframed formats are still possible; • for larger areas, add a welded/bolted support frame and/or stiffening profiles; • in locations subject to high winds, areas subject to stress (impacts, vibrations) or for large spans, aim for a thickness of 3 mm; • calibrate the fixing pitch and increase the number of support points on the secondary framework. When properly supported by a suitable frame, the triangular mesh effectively distributes stress in both axes, giving the perforated sheet metal reliable strength despite the openings. The Ø 20 mm openings provide significant air flow while limiting direct views. For guardrails Made of 2 mm thick galvanized steel, R20T35 perforated sheet metal generally costs between €53 and €92/m² for around 100 m² of supply, depending on the thickness, finish, installation pattern, presence of frames/stiffeners, and site context. Moderate perforation, such as 25% open area, maintains a correct mass per square meter, promoting rigidity.

Uses

R40T55 – Kardi perforated sheet metal Kardi spaciousness, visual lightness, and mechanical strength. Its 40 mm round perforated pattern forms an open, regular grid, offering nearly 60% transparency, ideal for architectural projects where natural ventilation, brightness, and lightness of perception are essential. Its fluid and generous pattern gives the perforated sheet metal an expressive presence without heaviness, suitable for ventilated facades as well as highly openwork fences or ventilated parking structures. The R40T55 perforation is distinguished by its balance between rigidity and openness. The large diameter of the holes promotes air circulation while maintaining a sufficient amount of metal to ensure mechanical strength over large spans. The staggered arrangement softens the geometric appearance of the metal and offers continuous visual homogeneity, without the effect of rigid alignment. Thanks to its appropriate metal thickness, R40T55 perforated sheet metal resists wind stress, deformation, and light impacts, while remaining easy to install and maintain. R40T55 perforated sheet metal is used for urban or technical site fencing when openwork, lightweight protection is required. The perforated panel limits visual intrusions without blocking the view, creating a fluid separation between public and protected spaces. As a balcony or walkway railing, Rv40-55 perforated sheet metal meets safety requirements while preserving visual transparency and landscape continuity. It guarantees: – the safety inherent in metal guardrails, – natural ventilation of outdoor areas, – and sufficient stability for large panels without reinforced frames. Its spacious and balanced pattern is perfectly suited to large-scale contemporary architecture: collective housing, cultural facilities, sports infrastructure, and commercial buildings.
