Description

Yote R5U25 perforated sheet metal Yote a very fine and regular visual pattern: 5 mm diameter perforations arranged in an orthogonal alignment with a constant pitch constant 25 mm. Known by the standard perforation designation Rg5-25, this perforation pattern provides approximately 3% open area, which is very low when the priority is to provide privacy, limited light transmission, and controlled micro-ventilation. The orthogonal perforation grid produces a directional distribution of openings: the penumbra creates a slight, discreet grid pattern; when viewed from a distance, the surface appears almost like a solid skin, barely perforated. The perforated holes, with a diameter of Ø 5 mm, give a very measured, almost punctual graphic presence. This blackout sheet metal is suitable for cladding, equipment covers, technical space cladding, protective screens, and false ceilings when visual privacy, a calm aesthetic, and minimal ventilation are the primary concerns. The R5U25 perforated sheet metal with U = 25 mm and D = 5 mm has material bridges of approximately 20 mm in both directions. This very comfortable material reserve translates into high rigidity and excellent stability in 1.5 mm steel, and large unframed formats of up to 1.5 m² are possible without any problems. The perforated holes with a diameter of Ø 5 mm greatly limit direct views, glare, and the penetration of objects, which is advantageous in areas accessible to the public that must be completely obscured while allowing a minimum of ventilation. Made of 1.5 mm thick galvanized steel, R5U25 perforated sheet metal generally costs between €42 and €75/m² for around 100 m² of supply, depending on the thickness, finish, and installation pattern. A low transparency of 3% maintains a high mass per square meter, which is good for rigidity and gives the impression of a nearly solid skin, but be careful with the weight when installing on site.

Uses

R5U25 perforated sheet metal is used in urban fencing when privacy and deterrence are required. It forms an effective visual barrier, preventing direct visibility while allowing a minimum amount of air to circulate. When used as facade cladding, it forms a continuous metal skin, capable of protecting service areas or technical spaces while giving the structure a sober and uniform appearance. The Rg5-25 perforation guarantees: – maximum security thanks to the small opening, – almost total concealment, limiting side views, – and high resistance suitable for public or industrial environments. This linear pattern is suitable for institutional and technical architecture where solidity and discretion take precedence over transparency. The 3% opening percentage almost completely limits the view through the sheet metal, creating a continuous and opaque metal skin. Light is diffused in a subdued manner, creating a fine and uniform grain on the surface. In low-angle light, the metal captures reflections and reveals the regularity of the pattern, while the RAL powder coating color brings out the density of the metal. At close range, the sheet metal appears as a textured metal wall. From a distance, it becomes a facade, silent and protective. With a transparency of approximately 3%, R5U25 perforated sheet metal provides almost complete concealment. It effectively protects equipment from view, rain, and dust, while ensuring micro-ventilation to prevent condensation. It is suitable for cladding maintenance rooms, ventilation enclosures, or vandal-proof urban dividers. R5U25 perforated sheet metal – Yote protection, density, and visual rigor. It provides effective screening from prying eyes at an affordable price.
