Description

The R25T33 Nictis perforated sheet metal Nictis a very open and bright appearance: perforated circles with a diameter of Ø 25 mm arranged in a staggered pattern with a regular pitch of 33 mm. Referenced by the nomenclature Rv25-33, this perforated geometry offers transparency greater than 52%, ideal when the priority is high air flow, generous light diffusion, and visual lightening of technical envelopes. The staggered pattern distributes the openings isotropically: the shadows are moiré, soft, and not very directional; from a distance, the skin appears as a homogeneous and highly breathable veil, a discreet metal mesh. The Ø 25 mm hole creates a bold graphic language depending on the color applied, visible from a distance but remaining subtle on dark shades. The perforated pattern is suitable for breathable facades, machine room screens, HVAC unit covers, parking lot screens, and secondary cladding where ventilation and transparency are paramount. When used in an urban environment, the 52% transparency remains high: it should be used judiciously depending on the need for concealment, anti-intrusion, and protection from projections. Perforated metal with T = 33 mm and D = 25 mm, the residual metal ligature in line is approximately 8 mm (T–D), while the minimum diagonal ligature of the triangular grid is approximately 3.6 mm (√3/2·T – D). This modest material reserve requires rigorous dimensioning: • for 2 mm steel, limit the size of unframed panels (modest unit sizes); • favor a welded/bolted peripheral frame and/or stiffening folds; • in exposed areas (wind, impact, vibration) or for large spans, aim for a thickness of 3 mm; • reduce the spacing between fasteners and increase the number of support points on the structure. When correctly dimensioned, the T-shaped perforated grid distributes stress evenly in both axes and provides reliable support despite the significant opening. Ø 25 mm openings ensure substantial airflow. For balcony railings and areas accessible to the public, check the installation conditions. Made of 2 mm thick galvanized steel, the price of R25T33 perforated sheet metal is generally between €59 and €95/m² for an order of around 100 m², depending on the thickness, finish, layout, presence of frames/stiffeners, and installation constraints. Reminder: generous openings lighten the perforated mass and make the metal mesh very light; in return, they require a visible framework and suitable thicknesses, which may be visible through the perforated sheet metal.

Uses

R25T33 perforated sheet metal – Nictis visual lightness with mechanical performance, ideal for applications requiring transparency, ventilation, and strength. The 25 mm round perforation pattern in a staggered arrangement gives the sheet metal a soft, fluid rhythm while maintaining a balanced and rigid structure. For outdoor applications, R25T33 perforated sheet metal is particularly recommended for openwork urban fencing, ventilated facades, technical rooms, or cladding for public facilities. With its regular circular geometry and more than 50% open area, the R25T33 perforation allows for high air permeability while limiting wind load. It offers a good compromise between strength and lightness. The sheet metal is impact-resistant and retains its flatness over long spans thanks to a metal thickness of up to 3 mm. R25T33 perforated sheet metal is used in urban or perimeter fencing: it creates a modulated visual screen, allowing air and light to pass through while maintaining natural visibility to the outside. As a balcony or staircase railing, the Rv25-33 pattern meets regulatory safety requirements while providing comfortable visual transparency. The sheet metal ensures: – the necessary protection against falls, – visual continuity of the landscape or garden, – and sufficient mechanical stability for self-supporting panels up to 1.5 m² without a reinforced frame. The staggered perforated pattern of R25T33 softens the appearance of the metal and gives it a flexible, contemporary look, suitable for open residential architecture, schools, sports facilities, and commercial buildings. With transparency greater than 50%, R25T33 sheet metal ensures optimal natural ventilation while protecting facades from direct sunlight. It is an ideal solution for technical cladding and ventilation covers.
