Description

Falia perforated sheet metal Falia R30T35 boasts a very open and bright aesthetic: discs with a diameter of Ø 30 mm arranged in a staggered pattern with a pitch of 35 mm. Referenced according to the Rv30-35 perforation standard, this openwork geometry offers approximately 66% transparency (≈ 706.9 mm² of opening for ≈ 1,061.9 mm² of mesh), ideal when the priority is high air flow, light diffusion, and visual lightening of technical envelopes. The staggered perforated pattern distributes the openings isotropically: the shadows are moiré, soft, and not very directional; from a distance, the skin appears as a homogeneous and highly breathable veil. The Ø 30 mm diameter hole creates a bold graphic language that is visible from a distance and appreciated for breathable facades, machine room screens, HVAC unit covers, parking lot screens, and secondary cladding where ventilation and transparency are priorities. In urban environments, Falia Rv30-35 perforated sheet metal lightens the visual impact of massive volumes (air handling units, technical rooms), with the possibility of a double skin on the facade to modulate direct views and glare from the sun without sacrificing overall airflow. Perforated with T = 35 mm and D = 30 mm, the minimum metal ligature is approximately 5 mm in all directions (in a triangular layout, the shortest center-to-center distance remains T). This low material reserve requires rigorous dimensioning: • for 1.5 mm steel, limit the size of unframed panels (modest unit sizes less than 1 m²); • favor a welded/bolted peripheral frame and/or stiffening folds; • in exposed areas (wind, impact, vibration) or for large spans, aim for a thickness of 2 mm to 3 mm with a risk of panel warping; • reduce the spacing between fasteners and increase the number of support points. When properly framed, the T-shaped perforation pattern distributes stress evenly along both axes and provides reliable support despite the very large opening. Made of 1.5 mm thick galvanized steel 1.5 mm thick galvan Falia steel, Falia Rv30-35 generally costs between €58 and €88/m² for an order of around 100 m², depending on the thickness, finish, layout, presence of frames/stiffeners, and installation constraints. Please note that a secondary frame must be taken into account, which will have an impact on the overall price of the project.

Uses

R30T35 – Falia perforated sheet metal Falia for its generous openings and pure circular geometry. With its large 30 mm diameter round holes arranged in a staggered pattern and a void ratio of approximately 66%, it forms an extremely breathable, lightweight, and transparent grid with one of the highest perforation rates available for architectural applications. This openwork pattern belongs to the family of so-called "very open" perforations, ideal for applications where visibility and ventilation are paramount: parking garage enclosures, ventilated technical cladding, decorative privacy screens, or architectural fencing with a light visual effect. R30T35 Falia perforated sheet metal Falia as a passageway material. The perforations allow air and light to pass through almost unimpeded, while creating a geometric framework that organizes the space. Its staggered round openwork pattern offers perfect visual balance: fluid, without rigid alignment, but rigorous in its repetition. On the scale of a facade sunscreen, it creates a lively, vibrant effect that varies with the daylight. When backlit, it almost disappears to the observer from the inside; when front-lit, it reveals the metal grid as a design suspended in the air, depending on the color chosen. Thanks to its high proportion of empty space, the Rv30-35 promotes maximum natural ventilation, limiting overheating and areas of stagnation. Its weakness remains its high transparency: the remaining solid areas form an unbalanced network, distributing tensile and torsional forces poorly. A high metal thickness improves its mechanical behavior, with a moderate weight. The R30T35 perforation is not recommended for use in guardrails.
