Description

Atete perforated sheet metal Atete R18T22 features large round perforations (Ø 18 mm) arranged in a staggered pattern with a pitch of 22 mm. Referenced as a triangular perforation pattern Rv18-22, it produces a very open, bright, and breathable visual texture, ideal for applications where air flow and light diffusion are priorities. Please note: transparency greater than 60% requires a study of the supports for mechanical stability. Seen from a distance, Atete R18T22 perforated sheet metal looks like a highly breathable skin; up close, the 18 mm discs create a clean, modern dotted pattern, popular for ventilated technical facades, machine room screens, HVAC equipment covers, cladding boxes, and secondary cladding where the aim is to visually lighten technical volumes. With a pitch of 22 mm and a diameter of 18 mm, the horizontal ligature (T–D) is only 4 mm: that's very small! At equal thickness, rigidity is therefore limited compared to less open patterns. In practice: • for 1.5 mm steel, greatly limit unframed panels (rather small unit sizes); • favor welded/bolted peripheral framing and/or stiffening folds; • for larger spans or exposed areas (wind, impact, vibration), aim for a minimum thickness of 2.0 mm and steel with a higher elastic limit. Large openings require advance planning: direction of the grid for folds, protected edges, close fixing centers, flatness tolerances.
