Description

Romana perforated sheet metal Romana C10U15 offers fine, regular perforation, ideal when moderate transparency combined with good mechanical strength is required. The perforation consists of square holes with 10 mm sides, arranged in orthogonal alignment with a regular pitch of 15 mm between holes. This standard model, referenced Qg10-15, has a transparency rate of approximately 44% (100 mm² of opening for 225 mm² of mesh), providing the right balance for filtering light and ventilating without overexposure, while offering a more soothing visual perception than larger openings. The tight, uniform 10 mm square perforated mesh creates an elegant "grid" effect: from a distance, the surface appears smooth and slightly vibrant; up close, the openwork geometry is accentuated by sharp square shadows, characteristic of linear grilles. Compared to round or staggered perforations, the square perforation pattern creates a controlled, almost typographic graphic effect that enhances simple facades, ventilation panels, urban cladding boxes, and filter partitions. The more restrained perforation preserves visual privacy while maintaining sufficient breathability. With a center-to-center distance of 15 mm for a 10 mm opening, the residual metal between two perforations is 5 mm throughout the panel. This ligature promotes rigidity and dimensional stability, particularly at equal thicknesses, and reduces the risk of local buckling during handling. Made of 1.5 mm steel, small unframed panels maintain satisfactory flatness; above approximately 1.0 to 1.4 m², peripheral framing, stiffening folds, or added reinforcement are recommended, especially outdoors or in areas subject to stress (wind, impact, vandalism). For extended spans or increased stresses, switch to 2 mm thickness with a reinforced supporting frame. Finishes: Z275 galvanized steel provides versatile corrosion protection; polyester powder coating improves weather resistance. Magnelis provides increased corrosion resistance for panels that are highly exposed, in humid, saline, or demanding environments (food processing, swimming pools, coastal areas). The price of 1.5 mm thick galvanized perforated steel sheet in standard C10U15 format is generally between €50 and €80/m² for a 100 m² order. Prices vary depending on thickness, layout, finish, and installation requirements. This transparent pattern, with 44% open area and a 5 mm grid, offers a compromise between visual comfort, controlled ventilation, rigidity for easy installation, and a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

Uses

C10U15 – Romana perforated sheet metal Romana for its tight, regular pattern, offering a denser appearance and controlled visual filtering. This mesh is ideal for technical facade cladding, service screens, public facility fencing, and residential fencing where the view needs to be softened without being completely obstructed. Romana perforation Romana views, refines contours, and provides a clear and reassuring boundary. The standard C10U15 grid does not expose, it envelops. It does not impose, it watches over. The openwork pattern becomes a regular, structuring skin. With a transparency of around 45%, C10U15 perforated sheet metal allows for measured ventilation, ideal for technical cladding (waste management rooms, machinery, ducts), while concealing the elements behind it. Light passes through a soft, less contrasting grid, creating a play of subdued light. The grid becomes a visual regulator, a graphic medium capable of receiving color, shadow, or reflection. The C10U15 – Romana Dampere perforated pattern Dampere like applied writing, a constant measure. Here, the material takes precedence over the void: the metal composes the structure of the gaze. It masks without partitioning, it protects without weighing down. It softens the depth, it orders the façade, it suggests the interior without describing it. The tight cutouts establish an intimate relationship with light, playing on gradients rather than contrasts.
